I’m here to help you
I’m Laura. I paint things. Signs for businesses, stationery for weddings, and occasionally very small paintings of nothing in particular just because I feel like it.
Most people who find me are looking for something they can’t quite put into words, not something they’ve seen a hundred times before on Pinterest. Something that feels like it’s been plucked straight from their imagination.
That’s the bit I’m good at. Come with a vague brief, a name, a feeling, the city you live in, a film you love. I’ll take it from there.
Your invitation is the first step; it’s the wedding prologue. Before the flowers, before the dress, before anyone’s had a glass of prosecco – your guests open that envelope and get their first feeling of the day. So it should feel like you, and only you.
We work with couples who’ve scrolled past a thousand things and thought ‘nearly, but not quite’. If that’s you, hello, make yourself at home!
You don’t need a fully formed idea; most people arrive with something like ‘lemons and Italy’ or ‘we love The Grand Budapest Hotel’ and honestly? That’s enough. Better than enough.
We make hand-painted invitation suites, letterpress stationery and day-of signage, and because it’s all coming from the same studio, it all belongs together. Your little wedding mini-brand for the biggest day of your life.
The opening line. Let your guests know something exciting is coming and set the tone from the very start.
The whole thing, from save-the-dates through to thank-you cards. Every piece connected, every piece hand-crafted, every piece completely yours.
Welcome signs, order of the day, table plans, menus, favour tags: all those finishing touches that turn a venue into your wedding. The welcome sign nobody expected is always the one the photographer won’t stop snapping.
Hand-painted ceremony and reception signage, wayfinding, bar boards, and any other custom pieces. If it needs to exist on the day, we can probably create it.
Slowly is the whole point. Each suite is hand-painted or letterpress-printed, built entirely around your story. There are about fourteen wedding aesthetics available on the internet. You are not one of fourteen.
Not a form or a brief template, just a chat Tell us about the business and show us what you’ve built. The sign should feel like an extension of that. We’ll figure out together what it needs to be.
After carefully considering your brief, we work on initial concepts for your business signage. We develop the initial design to ensure that it is a reflection of your vision and business.
Everything is hand-painted, by hand, in the studio. With my own fair hands It takes longer than a print job. That time is where the quality lives, and honestly, it’s also my favourite part.
A sign with soul, for a business that has one. Still there in twenty years, still looking like someone gave a damn when they made it.
A hand-painted sign doesn’t have an expiry date. It has a character arc.
Vinyl peels. Paint ages; it becomes part of our history. There are signs on buildings in this country that were painted over a hundred years ago, and they’re still there, still doing their job, still making people look up. That’s what we’re going for.
We work with independent businesses – cafés, restaurants, retailers, and studios – who want their outside to match their inside, the soul of their businesses. You give us your logo, your branding, or just a sense of the place, and we build something entirely around it. One of a kind. Genuinely.
A milestone birthday, a big anniversary, a corporate event – if there’s an occasion and it deserves more than a printed banner from the internet, I’m probably the right person to talk to.
Same approach as everything else. Tell us what the event is, who it’s for, and what feeling you’re going for. We’ll make signage and stationery that fits – wayfinding, welcome boards, menus, table plans, whatever the day needs… and deserves!
Big birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, any occasion where someone deserves something made specifically for them and not picked off a shelf… or worse, Amazon.
Events that need to look immaculately planned, not last-minute. Signage and printed materials that reflect the brand properly, made with the same care as everything else that comes out of this studio.
Welcome signs, directional wayfinding, menus, seating plans. The finishing touches that make a space feel considered rather than cobbled together.
Set the tone with custom stationery and signage for baby showers — designed to feel as special as the occasion itself.
A playful detail can be quiet and still be the one everyone remembers. Character doesn’t have to shout.
A logo that reflects what you’ve built, designed around you, and delivered in all the formats you’ll need.
Colours, typography, the whole visual language. Something consistent you can actually use across everything, without it needing a 40-page brand guidelines document to make sense of.
Business cards, flyers, menus, packaging, whatever you need to take the brand somewhere physical. Made with the same attention to craft as everything else.
Add unique visual elements to your brand with bespoke illustration and hand-drawn graphics. Whether it’s icons, patterns, or decorative elements, custom artwork gives your brand a distinctive character that sets you apart.
We start with who you are. The rest follows from there.
Graphic design is for everyone, no matter the size of your business. Especially if you’re an independent brand that’s built something to be proud of and just needs the visual side to catch up.
We help small businesses with logos, brand identities and print materials – the stuff that makes you look as good on paper as you do in person.
And if you’re getting signage done at the same time, it all comes from the same place, so it all holds together without anyone having to utter the word ‘cohesive’.
Yes, for stationery and graphic design, location doesn’t really come into it. I work with clients across the UK & International. For business signage that needs installing, I mostly work locally across Hampshire and Surrey, but if you’re further afield, drop me a message and we’ll have a chat about what might work.
Hand-painted work takes the time it deserves – which is to say, longer than a print job. For A-frames and business signage, we typically work to a two-week lead time. Wedding stationery timelines vary by project, and we’ll agree a schedule at the start so you always know where things are. Got a fixed deadline? Tell me upfront and I’ll tell you honestly whether it works.
Genuinely less than you’d think. A logo. A colour you keep coming back to. A film with a vibe you love. The city you got engaged in. A photo of something you saw that you can’t stop thinking about. Any of that. All of that. Most of our best projects have started with pretty chaotic briefs.
No. I don’t paint from AI-generated artwork, and I never will. The whole point of what I do is the human bit; that’s the part that brings me joy, why I do this in the first place. That’s not something I’m willing to compromise on.
Of course. Have a look around the site and on Instagram. If you want to see something specific – a particular style, a material, a type of sign – just ask and I’ll point you in the right direction.
